Holidays in Portpatrick

Created by Aileen 6 years ago

Margaret and her husband John first came into contact with the RNLI back in the 1970s during their frequent holidays in Portpatrick, when they became friends with the Coxwain Andy Milligan and his daughter Patsy.

They, along with their son and daughter, became active in fundraising activities throughout the year and in particular during Lifeboat Week.

They also helped out in the shop, serving customer and providing information on the work of the RNLI to holidaymakers.

Since then Margaret and John have held a joint membership and when Margaret sadly passed away the family decided to hold a collection in her memory, proceeds of which have been donated to the RNLI.
